Dr. David Benanou start to work for Veolia more than twenty years ago, mainly involve in research and innovation dedicated to analytical chemistry. After 10 year at the head of the team of analytical chemistry, he is for a year the world wide expert for research and chemistry.
Specialist on separation techniques and mass spectrometry as well as on sample preparation, his domain of expertise is mainly dedicated to micropollutants as well as organic matter characterization in environmental matrices and materials in contact with such matrices.

He hardly and actively participates to various European projects. He was also a member of CEN link to standardization with micropollutants in sludge; he is also a member of the International Water association, specialist in the field of taste and odor in drinking water and emerging disinfection by-products and administrator of the Belgium research Center, Certech.
He is promoting for 10 years the Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction technique applied to various matrices but also patented different enrichment concepts based on SBSE
